Stay and Study English - Home Stay Studies for English Language Students

Bedroom, as stipulated in chosen package.
Breakfast, picnic lunch and evening meal from Monday to Friday and three meals on Saturday and Sunday.
All accommodation is within easy reach of Stay & Study English but is usually on site at Grange Cottage.
Accommodation is provided from one day prior to course commencement until end of the course. Students who arrive early or leave late will be charged for the extra nights’ accommodation.
All cancellations, withdrawals or changes should be submitted in writing at least 4 weeks in advance and must be confirmed by Stay & study English. Limit of one change per course.

If you break anything belonging to the family you are liable to pay for it, so please be careful.
Let your family know if you are going to be late for a meal or if you don’t need it.
Let them know if you are going to stay away overnight.
Let them know if you break anything or lose your door key.
Do not disturb them by making a lot of noise late at night.
Do not use their telephone to make calls unless you have made arrangements with the family to do so.
Always be friendly and treat them with respect and they will do the same.
Stay & Study English, Grange Cottage and your home stay families, are not liable for any damage or harm to yourself or your property that may happen outside or inside the school or the home stay house.

If you want to leave your host family earlier than expected you have to tell your school at least two weeks in advance. Rent has to be paid for two more weeks if you failed to notify the school.
If you want to stay longer with your host family than expected you have to tell Stay & Study English at least two weeks in advance.
If you have any problems with your host family please arrange to speak Stay & Study English so that the problem can be solved.

The deposit is to be paid as agreed during booking with Stay & Study English. It is to be paid to secure the accommodation and course and is non-refundable.
We will start making arrangements for your home stay as soon as the deposit is received.
The remaining amount for your home stay has to be paid in full to Stay & Study English at least four weeks before the beginning of the course.
If you want to go away for a week or more but want to keep your room, you must pay a retainer to the host family.

Student does not receive authorisation from immigration before the course begins, provides documentation of the circumstances and returns the original letter of acceptance to Stay & Study English one month before the courses starts:

Student withdraws voluntarily or is dismissed from the programme less than 7 calendar days after the contract is made:
75 % of tuition fees
Student withdraws voluntarily or is dismissed from the programme 30 days or more before the start of the course:
75 % of tuition fees
Student withdraws voluntarily or is dismissed from the programme less than 30 days before the start of the course:
60 % of tuition fees

Student withdraws voluntarily or is dismissed from the programme within the first 10 % of the course’s duration:
50 % of tuition fees
Student withdraws voluntarily or is dismissed from the programme within the first 30 % of the course’s duration:
30 % of tuition fees
Student withdraws voluntarily or is dismissed from the programme after 30 % of the course’s duration:
No refund

All students are strongly advised to take out personal, medical and property insurance before travelling abroad. Stay & Study English, its representatives and staff will not be liable for any loss, damages, illness or injuries to people or property; however these may occur unless such liability is legally imposed. It is the student’s responsibility to take out insurance against all such risks.
EU students should obtain an E-111 form.
